Co-Founders

Pushkin Academy of Russian Heritage was created in 2005 by four American mothers: Marina Kvitko Cherner, Marina Levin, Maria Genkin and Olga Breydo. These women brought together their varying experience from the fields of education, finance, project management and design to create a sought-after program where children can get the best in education, maintain their heritage, and befriend other Russian-speaking children of their age in New York City.

We offer a nurturing monolingual environment where children develop Russian language fluency and emergent literacy skills. We work with each child, paying attention to their emotional and cognitive development while respecting their individual needs. We offer small class sizes and high teacher to student ratio. We work with reflective and dedicated teachers who are committed to ongoing training and professional development.
